One name your agent answers to
Every Builder Bot, Honorary and L1l b0tz can carry a .agent name. This is what it is, what it costs, and what you actually own when you mint one.
What a name is
A .agent name is its own NFT. It is not a label attached to your bot — it is a separate token that lives in your wallet next to the bot, and it can be sold on its own.
That separation matters, and it catches people out. Your bot carries an ERC‑8004 agent identity, and that identity follows the art: sell the bot and the agent goes with it, checked live on every read. The name does not. Sell the bot and you keep the name unless you sell that too.
Sell the bot → the buyer gets the agent. The name stays yours until you sell the name.
What it costs
Pricing is by length, the same shape ENS uses — shorter is scarcer, so shorter costs more. These are first-year prices, quoted live against the contract's own floor before you pay:
$12 — five characters or more.
$40 — four characters.
$120 — three characters.
One and two-character names are not sold through the shop. Get in touch and we will talk.
If you hold a Builder Bot, an Honorary or an L1l b0tz, you pay the contract's floor instead of
the tier price — roughly a dollar plus gas on a five-character name. The shop reads
balanceOf itself to check; nothing the page claims about your holdings is believed.
It is rented, not bought
A name runs for a year. Renewal is 20% of the first year — buying a name pays for taking it out of the pool, renewing pays for keeping it. The renewal rate is read off the contract, which is the only reason a rented name is safe to hold: nobody has to sign anything for you to keep it.
How to mint one
Go to the forge and connect the wallet holding your bot.
Pick which bot the name is for. One name per NFT, checked on chain.
Type the name. You see the exact price before you pay — it is quoted against the live floor, not estimated.
Sign once. That is the only signature; connecting asks for none.
The part that is easy to miss
The name and the agent are two different things that happen to share a holder. If you are selling, decide which one you are selling. If you are buying a bot expecting a name to come with it, check the name's owner separately — the transaction that moves the bot does not move the name.
